It sounds to me like Mr. Greg Rivard and Charlottetown city council were duped (The Guardian, Sat. Sept. 22, ‘Airbnb dilemma.)’ If the area residents were under other impressions, then I can't see why the city can't pull the plug on the contractor and get it into long-term rentals.
The city and lots more places need to curb this situation now. Empty nesters are cashing in on pure greed while the young people and seniors are getting screwed. The rents are insane. Will it take a tragedy for someone to smarten up.
