I think the Stratford councillor is wrong assuming that people on cellphones are causing accidents on the bridge. I drive the bridge daily and I think the issue is aggressive driving. I’m sure most accidents occur during rush hour and that is the problem . . . rushing.

If you leave a proper gap between you and the vehicle in front, 9 times out of 10 someone is going to squeeze in causing an unsafe condition. Other concerns are people trying to race through changing traffic lights.

I don’t have all the answers but maybe some policing for speeding, a longer delay from when lights go from red to green for the other traffic or good old common sense. Come to think of it, strike the last solution as that will never happen. My two cents.
