Maurice Ambrose O'Shea

September 4, 1918 - March 4, 2018 Maurice O'Shea, beloved husband of the late Edna O'Shea (nee McGarry), passed away peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Charlottetown at the age of 99 years. Maurice was born in Iona, PEI. He was a World War II veteran, worked in the aviation industry his entire career, and was an avid fiddler and bagpiper. He will be lovingly remembered by his children Maureen O'Shea, Kathy Maratta (Gino), Mike O'Shea (Sandi), Helen Klatzel (Brian), and Debbie O'Shea, his Grandchildren Kevin and Holly Cesari, Lee Maratta, Steven and Melissa O'Shea, and Laura Klatzel, his Great Grandchildren Kennedie and Greyson Needham, Tessia and Callie Maratta, and Colton Cesari, his siblings Henry (Kaye - deceased), Anne Connolly (Art - deceased), Leo (Florence), and Father Art O'Shea. He was predeceased by his parents William and Helen (Byrne) O'Shea, sisters Molly (in infancy) and Mary Swanston (Joe - deceased) and brother Frank (Verona - deceased). Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, 2 Hollis Ave., Stratford for visitation Friday, March 9, 2018 from 4-7 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Michael's Church, Iona on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Michael's Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to St. Michael's Cemetery Fund or The Canadian Diabetes Association.
