Lester Lorne Smith

The death occurred at Birkshire Long Term Care Home, Windsor, Ontario, on March 7, 2018, of Lester Lorne Smith, formerly of Hunter River, P. E. I. Lester was born on July 4, 1933, to the late Lorenzo and Alice Smith. He was predeceased by his brothers and sisters, Edna (Jack) MacLean, Harry (Inez), Cyril (Marge), Doris (Elmer) MacMillan, Douglas (Mary), Margaret (George) Whitehead and Ruth (James) Gibbons. Survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Lester was very active in the harness racing industry both in U.S.A. and Canada ending his career at the McIntosh Stables in Ontario. Graveside service will be held at Central Queens United Church Cemetery, Hunter River, on Wednesday, March 21, 2018, at 1:30 p.m. Reception to follow at Central Queens United Church.
