Evelyn Chislett

Trenton, NS - Evelyn Louise Chislett, Dec. 2, 1925 – March 15, 2018. Evelyn Chislett, formerly of Fifth Street, Trenton, passed away peacefully in the Glen Haven Manor. She was a daughter of the late Arthur and Marion Eva Betts of New Glasgow. She was the last surviving member of her family. Mom was a homemaker and volunteer with the First United Church, Trenton, NS. She was always learning, going to night school, taking courses and constantly reading. She is survived by her son, Phillip (Sheri) Chislett, Stratford, PEI; daughters: Nancy Fraser (Jim), Little Harbour; Rose Webber (late John Webber), Shubenacadie; and Marion Chislett, China. She is also survived by grandchildren: Neil Fraser (Laura Wrubleski), Vancouver, BC; John Fraser (Angela), Abercrombie; Amy Fraser (Scott Van Wart), Halifax; Trevor Chislett (Joanie), PEI; David Chislett (Tara), Winnipeg, MB; and Sam Webber, Shubenacadie; and also three great grandchildren. Evelyn was predeceased by her husband, James Wesley; brothers: Sydney and Stanley; sisters: Muriel “Babe” and Julia. Evelyn’s remains have been cremated under the direction of R.H. Porter Funeral Home. Burial service will be at a later date. By request of the family, no flowers. Donations in Evelyn’s memory may be made to the First United Church, Trenton or Glen Haven Manor.
