Peacefully at the Provincial Palliative Centre, on Tuesday, July 10, 2018, surrounded by family and friends, much-loved Carol Ann Doucette Cameron of Morell, aged 67, left behind her six-month battle with cancer for a better life promised by her faith. Many mourn the passing of this wonderful lady, including her husband of 48 years, John; their sons Colin (Amanda), Brian (Lisa), and Mark (Kelly); Grams’ adorable granddaughters Claire, Mary, Leanna, and Briella; her devoted sister & nurse, Mary Hughes (John); sisters-in-law Dawn Huczel (Peter), Mary MacDonald (Dave), and Jane Cameron; brothers-in-law Michael Cameron (Shelley), Donald Cameron (Delores), and numerous nieces and nephews. Carol was predeceased by her parents, Florence and Raymond Doucette; brother George; parents-in-law Mary and Donald Cameron, and brother-in-law Allan Cameron. Special thanks to the nurses from Home Care, Souris, for their loving daily care of Carol; and to the staff and volunteers of the Provincial Palliative Care Center, Charlottetown, for their care of Carol in her final days. Carol’s remains will rest in the lounge of St. Theresa, The Little Flower Roman Catholic Church, Morell, for visitation on Friday, July 13, from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at the church on Saturday, July 14, at 10 a.m., Fr. Brian MacDougall presiding. Family flowers only. If so desired, please donate in Carol’s name to either the Eastern King’s Integrated Palliative Care Program or the Provincial Palliative Care Center, Charlottetown. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the North Shore Funeral Home, Morell.
