Allan Maccoubrey

Allan passed away on August 16th at his home in Bolton ON, with his son Darcy by his side, after a long battle with cancer. Born in Charlottetown, P.E.I. in 1946, Allan was the son of Ira and Dora MacCoubrey. He lived in Cavendish until he was 18, when he moved to Ontario. Growing up, Allan and his brother Ian developed a brotherly connection with their cousin Wayne Saulnier. When they all moved to Ontario, that special bond continued, and Allan became “uncle” to Wayne’s children, especially his son Wayne. Allan was predeceased by his brother Ian and parents, Ira and Dora. He will be deeply missed by his daughter Wendy, son Darcy (Amanda), granddaughters Sarah, Shannon and Charlotte, sister in law Jean, nephew and nieces, Mike, Sherry and Cindy and their families and cousins Wayne, Donna, Carole, Ann and their families and his close friend Anne. A Celebration of Allan’s life will be held late next spring in P.E.I. when he returns home to Cavendish.
