Environment Canada is keeping its special weather statement open for Tuesday into Wednesday this week.
It says that snowfall warnings are not likely with this system, but maybe there will be a need for a heavy rainfall warning late tomorrow.
"Snow will likely develop over the province Tuesday afternoon," says the special weather statement for the entire province. "Tuesday night, the precipitation will change to rain, at times heavy, and persist into Wednesday. Before the changeover, snowfall will likely cause slippery conditions. Current indications suggest that snowfall warnings will not be required.
"Significant rainfall is expected and may require warnings," it said.
"In addition, strong southeasterly winds are expected with this system."
Confederation Bride put an advisory in place this morning, saying that high winds are forecast and might lead to travel restrictions against high-sided vehicles.
The warning about possible restrictions runs for any time between 6 p.m. tomorrow, until approximately 6 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 13.
As for today, it is predicted to be a mix of sun and cloud, with flurries this morning, then resuming later this afternoon.
The Confederation Bridge today is currently open to all traffic with no wind warnings.
All flights arriving to and departing from Charlottetown Airport are showing to be on time.
On P.E.I. today, early morning temperatures ranged from a high of -0.2 at East Point, to a low of –5.2 in Summerside.
