Also looking at weather data, Environment Canada announced late yesterday that East Point set a new high temperature record on Wednesday, recording +12.8. The old record of +11.3 had been set in 2010.
The Confederation Bridge today is currently open to all traffic now, but there is a warning that wind-related restrictions may need to be imposed anytime from now up to 1 p.m. this afternoon.
Northumberland Ferries also warns that it might need to cancel service, but so far it’s still operating.
All flights, however, arriving to and departing from Charlottetown Airport are showing to be on time.
On P.E.I. today, early morning temperatures ranged from a high of –10.5 at East Point, to a low of -12.1 in Harrington.
