SUMMERSIDE, P.E.I. – Robert Alexander James Hewlett, 29, of Union, has pleaded guilty to a number of charges.
They include: two counts of operating a motor vehicle while also having a blood alcohol level above the legal limit, impaired driving, two counts of breaching a court undertaking by driving and breaching his probation by contacting a woman he was not supposed to.
The charges are from Feb. 10 in O’Leary, March 27 in Union, June 28 in Alberton and June 20 in Woodstock.
Hewlett was sentenced to 98 days in jail, which he received permission to do intermittently. He also received credit for nine days he spent in custody following his arrest. He must also serve 18 months of probation, is prohibited from driving for an additional 18 months and must pay a $800 victim surcharge and a $1,000 fine.
