TIGNISH — Town Council selected the town’s administrator, Chancey Gaudette, to be their municipal electoral officer (MEO) for the municipal election that will be held in November, and former administrator Karen Gaudet-Gavin will be the deputy MEO.

The election preparations are all in keeping with the province’s new Municipal Government Act, and the many new bylaws municipal councils across the province are enacting.

Tignish Council gave first reading Monday night to three of those bylaws: remuneration, municipal grants and fees.
