Richard Gerard Cormier, 34, of Georgetown has been identified as the victim of a fatal single-vehicle rollover in Alberry Plains late last week.

The incident happened Friday at 8:15 p.m. at the intersection of Route 3 and the Glencoe Road.

Another occupant of the vehicle, a 33-year-old woman from Charlottetown, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The coroner's office and the RCMP are investigating. A traffic analyst also attended and will be completing a scene examination. Road conditions were not a factor in the collision.

Cormier is the father of two boys, Adden and Rayo. He is also survived by his parents, Gerald and Jean Cormier, and sisters Lindsay Crane and Corinne Cormier.

Visitation will be on Thursday, Nov. 16, from 4-8 p.m. at Ferguson Logan Montague Funeral Home, with a funeral service on Friday at 10 a.m. from the funeral home chapel.

The service will also be streamed live on the funeral home’s website, fergusonlogan.com.
