CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. – A portion of Charlottetown’s waterfront boardwalk between Sydney Street and the Celtic monument is being replaced.

Work is already underway and the section will be closed to the public during the construction period.

Work is expected to take place until the end of November, and includes removal of the old boardwalk; building an addition to the boardwalk behind the Celtic monument to allow winter plowing; upgrading the stringers; upgrading the decking to a marine-grade lumber; and upgrading the material below some of the benches.

For more information on this project, contact the parks and recreation department at 902-368-1025.
