CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. - Charlottetown city police responded to 66 motor vehicle collisions in January, down from 90 in January of 2017.

In regard to the Highway Traffic Act, police issued 410 tickets in January, compared to 341 in January 2017.

Police also investigated 25 assaults, an increase from 12 in January 2017.

The number of break and enters stayed about the same. Police investigated eight cases, on par with eight cases in January of 2017.
