A P.E.I. man who threatened a neighbour after she asked him to be quiet in their apartment building’s parking lot was recently given a suspended sentence.

Paul James Russell, 52, appeared before Judge John Douglas in provincial court in Charlottetown where he pleaded guilty to uttering a threat.

The court heard Russell made similar threats to the woman two days in a row after she heard him yelling in the building’s parking lot while her children were asleep.

Some of the threats were directed at the woman’s children.

Russell told police he lost his temper and had been drinking those two days.

He will be on probation for one year and must pay a $100 victim surcharge.
