Marlene Hunt hopes to return to town council in Cornwall, declaring her intention to run in the Nov. 5 municipal election.

Hunt was elected for two terms in Cornwall, from 2007 to 2014, and chaired the transportation and safety committee while also sitting on the recreation and public utilities committees.

Hunt said she believes all residents deserve equal attention on their issues and concerns.

Cornwall is an open ward system, which means councillors represent everyone in the town.

“Your issues are my issues,’’ Hunt said in reference to the people of the town.

Hunt said she enjoys living in Cornwall where she raised her son, Matt Dixon.
