During early hours on Sunday, Kings District RCMP got a 911 call about  a stabbing at a residence in Caledonia.

Police officers found a man that had allegedly suffered injuries from a knife and a beer bottle. The victim, a 27-year-old man, was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries and later released.

RCMP arrested a 26-year-old female, and she was later brought before a Justice of the Peace. The woman is being held in jail and scheduled to appear in court today.

As part of the investigation, a search warrant was obtained late Sunday morning and the RCMP Forensic Identification Section worked at the house where the incident occurred.
