CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. - Infrastructure Minister Paula Biggar says work was stopped any time there were problems with air quality at Three Oaks Senior High School.
Opposition MLAs questioned Biggar Wednesday on the results of air quality tests posted online, which they said showed samples didn’t meet necessary guidelines.

Biggar said a problem was identified in March 2017, it was reported and work stopped.
“We’re doing daily tests. We’re putting the tests online. They’re within Health Canada levels, and everything at this point is going forward,” she said.

Work is expected to be 75 per cent complete by September 2018 and the project finished by winter of 2019.
Opposition Leader James Aylward referred to videos students shot at the school that showed wet, mouldy ceiling tiles falling to the floor and sparks shooting out from under a door.
“Do you consider that providing a safe environment for students?”
Biggar said students aren’t in parts of the building where work is underway during the day and there were “breaches” of those areas.
“Extra security was put on, so nobody could breach into those areas to do videos,” she said.
