A Stratford man who was followed home by a bystander who called the police on him was sentenced Wednesday to 22 days in jail for impaired driving.
Kenneth Dion Burhoe, 36, appeared before Chief Judge Nancy Orr in provincial court in Charlottetown where he entered a guilty plea.
The court heard that on July 13 at around 10 p.m. the RCMP responded to a call about a possible impaired driver.
The caller followed Burhoe’s vehicle to Reeves Estate in Stratford where the police found him.
Burhoe, who had a prior conviction for drunk driving, provided breathalyzer samples that were more than twice the legal limit.
Along with the jail time, Burhoe must pay a $1,300 fine and $390 victim surcharge.
He is banned from driving for one year.
