Environment Canada has lifted a special warning for P.E.I. calling for high winds. However, the weather agency is now warning Islanders of the possibility of frost overnight.
Crops may be damaged in frost-prone areas of P.E.I.
Clear skies and light winds will give favourable conditions for frost formations Saturday into Sunday, especially in low-lying areas.
The weather agency advised Islanders to take preventative measures to protect frost sensitive plants and trees.
The province was previously under a special weather statement for Saturday morning with the weather agency expecting winds in excess of 80 km/h with rain.
The province will see northwest winds of 40 km/h an hour gusting to 60 km/h late this morning.
Conditions should clear this afternoon, although temperatures will drop from around 19 C. To 14 C.
