The closed status is due to wet, muddy field conditions.

“These sport fields will remain closed until further notice,” says the warning issued Friday.

“The opening date will vary at each field, depending on the individual field conditions,” it said.

Ignoring the closed status could put a group’s, or an individuals access to the field at risk into the future, the city says.

Permission must be obtained from the Parks and Recreation Department to use sport fields.

“Groups or individuals who do not seek permission and access the fields when closed may risk gaining access in the future,” it said.

More information can be obtained by calling the department at 902-368-1025.
