SUMMERVILLE, P.E.I. - A single-vehicle crash in southern Kings County forced the closure of a portion of Route 3 on Tuesday afternoon.

The incident occurred at around 3 p.m. near the community of Summerville and appeared to involve a white truck that left the road and veered into a ditch.

Road conditions had begun to deteriorate at the time, with freshly fallen snow and some freezing rain.

The RCMP would not say whether anyone was injured in the crash, but the road had reopened by early Tuesday evening.
