NEW PERTH - An 83-year-old Montague man died this morning after a two-vehicle collision on Route 3 in New Perth.
Kings District RCMP, the Montague Fire Department and Island EMS attended the scene and closed the road to traffic.
The 83-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The RCMP reported two passengers in the second vehicle were treated at the scene for minor injuries.
Preliminary evidence suggests alcohol and speeding weren’t factors in the collision and the investigation is still underway, the RCMP said.
Route 3 was closed for several hours while the traffic reconstructionist completed their work.
