MILTON STATION, P.E.I. - A P.E.I. man was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries following a single vehicle collision Saturday.

RCMP said the driver lost control and hit a utility pole on Route 7 shortly before 5 p.m., causing power to go out in the surrounding area.

Police closed a section of the road between Route 256 and Route 2 for about three hours as power was restored.

Police noted the road was icy at the time of the collision.
