STRATFORD — Stratford RCMP are investigating a brazen break and enter into a Reeves Estate home that occurred in the early morning hours of Monday.
The homeowners were sleeping inside the residence at the time of the break-in, which resulted in the theft of personal property and minor damage to the residence of the owners. The victims were not harmed during the crime and the suspect is known to police.
RCMP would like to assure the public that there is no immediate concern for public safety at this time as the suspect is known to have left the province and the investigation is continuing with charges are pending.
Police say the crime does provide an opportunity to remind everyone to lock doors to residences and vehicles as a deterrent to criminals.
