Not counting a few hours on Christmas Eve there are only three full shopping days left until Christmas so the malls and stores in Charlottetown and across the province were full of frantic shoppers Saturday.
That air of panic will probably continue right up until closing time on the 24th as shoppers try to hit the stores for that last minute gift. Of course, there are always those who deliberately wait for the last minute before beginning to shop. They must thrive on stress. All the planning that goes into last minute shopping can all be for naught if the store sold the last doll or toy truck 30 minutes ago. And good luck with finding a parking spot anywhere near any store anywhere in the province.
The smart people will have their shopping all done by now and are sitting with their feet up as they sip an eggnog and hum that great Stan Rogers song - At Last I'm Ready for Christmas.
