SUMMERSIDE, P.E.I. - A suspect in the May 27 robbery at a Water Street motel appeared in Summerside provincial court recently.
Aaron Christopher Prichard, 34, appeared to elect a mode of trial for his case. He was charged with robbery, assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
Co-accused Congjie Tan and Scott Bruce Dalziel have each been charged with one count of robbery.
Prichard will return to court on July 3 at 1:30 p.m. Tan and Dalziel are set to appear on June 19 at Summerside provincial court.
The robbery and subsequent hunt for the suspects resulted in the police shooting of 32-year-old Jeremy Stephens, who died later that day at Prince County Hospital.
