A beloved lobster named Lester was stolen from the yard of a Summerside home early Sunday morning.
Kay Westerhout said that her six-foot stuffed lobster holds sentimental value, and was taken from a tree at The Grooming House on Granville Street some time after midnight.
Lester sits in the tree every year during the Summerside Lobster Festival.
Westerhout has contacted the police with hopes of Lester’s return.
He’s a public attraction, and organizers of the Summerside Lobster Festival even gave her free tickets to an event last year because of the attention he drums up, she said.
She’s disappointed her carnival lobster is gone, and anyone with information can contact Summerside Police Services.
