SUMMERSIDE, P.E.I. – Police in Summerside are asking for the public’s help in locating a 19-year-old international student from the Bahamas in connection with an incident at a motel.
An arrest warrant has been issued for Stephon Rodgers, who has been residing in Summerside.
Rodgers is charged with assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose after the motel incident Thursday at 9:40 p.m.
Police allege that Rodgers became involved in a heated confrontation with a maintenance person at the motel.
The confrontation turned physical and a weapon became involved, resulting in non-life threatening injuries to the victim, a 28-year-old Summerside man.
Police believe Rodgers plans to leave Canada and are asking for the public’s assistance in locating him.
