Stratford man charged with attempted murder identified

A 20-year-old Stratford man who was charged with attempted murder made a brief appearance before a justice of the peace Wednesday.

Chase Joseph Douglas Aslantogmus was charged with attempted murder after he allegedly stabbed a 21-year-old man in Charlottetown Tuesday afternoon.

RELATED: Charlottetown building scene of second serious stabbing in two years

The victim was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital with what police said were serious, but not life threatening, stab wounds.

Charlottetown police said both men were known to each other.
