Researchers from UPEI’s Climate Research Lab are continuing their tour of Prince Edward Island communities to discuss sea-level rise.
The team will hold public presentations in Georgetown, Victoria, Alberton and Morell throughout July.
The presentations will help increase understanding and awareness of the impacts of sea-level rise, coastal erosion and storm surges. Tools for adaptation and coastal planning will also be discussed.
There will be an opportunity to ask questions and discuss what sea-level rise means for Islanders.
The events are free and open to all members of the public and will run for about two hours. Refreshments will be provided.
Those interested in attending are asked to RSVP by emailing [email protected] or calling 902-894-2852.
The tour will be in Georgetown on July 3 at the Kings Playhouse; Victoria on July 4 at the Victoria Schoolhouse; Alberton on July 9 at the Alberton Community Centre and Morell on July 10 in the Rossiter Park Community Building. Times are 6:30-8:30 p.m. for all presentations.
