STRATFORD, - RCMP officers are investigating a home invasion and a break-and-enter that occurred here Friday morning.
Shortly before 3 a.m., officers responded to a home invasion where two males had entered a residence and demanded money.
RCMP said a physical altercation took place and the the two suspects made off with a sum of cash. No weapons were involved and the victims were not injured.
Officers also responded to a break and enter at the Southport Motel in Stratford at the same time as the home invasion. Two individuals were located and arrested from the incident.
Edward Joseph Phalen, a 22-year-old Stratford resident, has been charged in relation to both incidents.
Phalen has been charged with robbery, break and enter, assault, mischief, theft and breach of probation. Phalen is in custody and will appear in court early next week.
Police said the matter is still under investigation and are seeking the public's assistance in locating the second person involved or anyone who may have seen the two individuals in the Stratford area Friday morning.
One of the suspects was described as a six feet tall average built male with dark hair. The individual was clean shaven and wearing a tan coat and hoodie with dark jeans and sneakers.
The other suspect was described as a 5-foot, eight inches tall and was wearing a dark coloured hoodie, dark pants and was also clean shaven.
