A resident of Milton Station is facing multiple drug charges after a raid Wednesday.

Jody Arthur Peterson, 38, was at home April 2 when police officers from RCMP Queens district and Kings district street crime units suddenly arrived with a search warrent under the Controlled Drugs and Substances act.

"The search resulted in the seizure of a quantity of methamphetamine pills (speed), cannabis marihuana, cannabis resin and other drug paraphernalia," said a statement from the RCMP.

Peterson has been charged with possession of marihuana, possession for the purpose of trafficking in cannabis resin and methamphetamine, plus a charge of producing of cannabis resin.

He was released from custody after the arrest, and will appear in Charlottetown provincial court on Monday, June 2nd, 2014 with an opportunity to enter a plea to those charges.

"Combating drug trafficking is a priority for the Queens District RCMP and we encourage the public to contact the RCMP or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 if you have any information related to drug trafficking or suspicious activities in your communities," said Sergeant Dwayne Loppie.

Anonymous tips can also be left on social media with Crime Stoppers at www.peicrimestoppers.com, or on Facebook at peicrimestoppers, by anonymous text using SMS by sending “TIP162” plus your message to (274637) CRIMES.
