Charlottetown police arrested a 24-year-old city man on Dec. 28 after he allegedly broke into a home on Alley Street.
The police responded to a break and enter in progress at 4:35 a.m. and when they arrived found the man inside.
He was arrested and charged with break and enter.
The man was housed at the Provincial Correctional Centre and will appear in court at a later date.
Also on Dec. 28, Charlottetown police received a complaint that someone stole jewelry and about 500 DVDs from a home on Passmore Street over the weekend.
Among the stolen items were the DVDs, a gold necklace and an opal pendant containing a small diamond.
