Cory Russell Levy pleaded guilty in Georgetown provincial court for breaching and undertaking and violating an emergency protection order.

Levy, 33, who lived in Rollo Bay but now lives in Charlottetown, reached out to a woman, indirectly on Jan. 2 and directly on Jan. 6., but he wasn’t supposed to have contact with her.

Levy was arrested and taken to the Provincial Correctional Centre, where he said, “that they, the law, were cultivating a criminal and that the next time you see me here would be for good reason,” said Crown attorney Nathan Beck while reading the facts.

Levy has a prior criminal record on P.E.I. as well as in Ontario and Alberta.

He is also facing charges relating to an incident on Dec. 4.

Levy was shot in the leg by a police officer during his arrest. The charges include impaired driving, assaulting a police officer and resisting arrest. Levy will appear in court Feb. 8 for plea and sentencing.
