A 21-year-old man was arrested last night after an assault in a Summerside parking lot last week sent another man to hospital.
The victim, a 23-year-old man remains in Prince County Hospital with a head injury. Summerside police say the full extent of his injuries are unknown but are not believed to be life threatening.
The victim had been involved in a verbal dispute with the occupants of a vehicle that had pulled into a Water Street parking lot at about 11 p.m. on Aug. 8. One of the passengers exited the vehicle and assaulted the victim.
Cole Edward Hearn, 21, was arrested by Summerside police Thursday evening. Hearn was remanded into custody Friday morning and faces one count of assault causing bodily harm.
