When independent MLA Olive Crane rose in the house today it was supposed to be for a big, exciting announcement.
A Facebook post led to speculation she might be taking another run at the PC Party leadership or even crossing the floor to the Liberals.
Instead Crane said she will be working with radio station CFCY to help raise money for the Salvation Army’s Christmas food hampers.
For the second year in a row she’ll be co-hosting the Hoedwon Throwdown with Georgadawn and said last year the program raised about $7,000, which helped 1,000 families and 900 children.
"What could be more important than that?" she said.
