A Charlottetown man who stole a bottle of vodka from a liquor store was recently given a suspended sentence.
Edgar John Keefe, 29, appeared before Judge John Douglas in provincial court in Charlottetown where he pleaded guilty to the theft.
The court heard that on July 20, Keefe went to a liquor store in Charlottetown where he picked up three bottles of vodka and a bottle of Blackfly. Keefe paid for all but one bottle of vodka, which he pocketed.
He will be on probation for one year and must pay $15.79 in restitution, along with a $100 victim surcharge.
