A motion to amend the city’s nuisance bylaw to include the definition of livestock passed its third and final reading on Monday.
The definition now includes any domestic fowl such as chickens, geese and ducks as well as horses, donkeys, goats, sheep, foxes and a number of other animals.
The bylaw specifically excludes dogs and cats from the definition of livestock.
It also excludes some areas of the city, including the Atlantic Veterinary College, Red Shores Racetrack and the P.E.I. Humane Society.
