Crowds gathered at Victoria Row in Charlottetown Wednesday to celebrate National Acadian Day as part of celebrations taking part across P.E.I.

The celebration also marked one year to the Congrés mondial acadien 2019, which P.E.I. and southeastern New Brunswick will host Aug. 10-24, 2019.
