ROLLO BAY, P.E.I. - An RCMP investigation is underway after a man was injured while being taken into police custody in Rollo Bay on Monday.
A press release issued by P.E.I. RCMP Monday night stated the Nova Scotia Serious Incident Response Team will be working with the RCMP in the investigation.
RCMP had responded to a call late Monday afternoon, although the release did not state what the call was regarding.
The Guardian was unsuccessful in reaching RCMP Monday night to elaborate on the incident.
RCMP said there is no threat to public safety and thanked the community members who called in.
The RCMP said an update would be provided when possible.
