The City of Charlottetown will host three Let’s Talk About Cycling pop-ups this summer.

The public can meet with city staff to provide feedback and also learn more about the goal of improving and expanding on existing infrastructure.

Educational information will also be available at the pop-ups.

The first will be held at the Charlottetown Farmers’ Market on Belvedere Avenue on Wednesday, July 18, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Another one will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 8, where city staff will set up at the Victoria Park bike lane from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

The third pop-up will take place during Park(ing) Day, an international day when cities or community groups transform parking places into parks for a day to re-envision how public spaces can be used. This will take place on Kent Street, next to City Hall, on Friday, Sept. 21, from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.

The insight gained through these conversations will be used in the municipality’s efforts to improve and expand existing infrastructure and encourage positive and safe cycling experiences for everyone.

Anyone interested in providing feedback who can’t attend one of the pop-up events is encouraged to email the city’s sustainability officer, Ramona Doyle at [email protected].
