Participants have less than one month to submit their entry to the Picture Charlottetown Photo Contest, sponsored by Discover Charlottetown.

The contest began on July 4 and closes on Monday, Oct. 31 at 5 p.m.

Photo submissions will be divided into two categories; youth (17 years of age and under) and adult (18 years and older). Grand prizes will be awarded in both categories with a total value of more than $1,000. In addition, random weekly draws have taken place each Friday since the contest began, with prize packages from local business.

The last weekly draw will take place on Friday, Oct. 28. Submitted photos to date can be viewed online at: www.charlottetown.ca/photogallery.php.

Once the contest closes, a panel of judges will review all submissions to determine the winners in each category. In November, there will be an open exhibit in City Hall featuring the winners in each category, along with honourable mentions.
