The laser light shone into the cockpit for approximately 5-10 seconds, says a note issued today by the RCMP. The pilot was able to land the plane without incident.
“RCMP remind the general public that shining any laser at an aircraft is a serious Federal offence where offenders could be charged under the Aeronautics Act and face up to $100,000 in fines and/or five years in prison,” says the police force.
