CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. – A big pickup truck did big damage during an accident on Mount Edward Road last week, but did not stick around to take the consequences.

Charlottetown Police Services received the 911 call last Wednesday, Nov. 23 at 2:25 p.m., about the hit and run collision on Mt. Edward Rd., near Montgomery Drive.

Police were told that a large, gold-coloured pickup truck struck a car from behind and failed to remain at the collision scene.

“The vehicle struck sustained a lot of damage, but the driver was not injured,” said a police report.

Police are asking for anyone with information about the accident to contact them at 902-629-4172. For a possible cash reward while still giving an anonymous tip, contact P.E.I. Crime Stoppers in many different ways described on its Internet site.
