KENSINGTON - The Town of Kensington is boosting its usual donation to the Kensington-Bedford Hockey Exchange this year.
The annual hockey event is celebrating its 50th year in 2018, and council has decided that the occasion merits an increase.
The organizing committee this year asked for a donation of 12 hours of ice time at the Community Gardens Complex, valued at just under $2,000.
town usually donates about $750 to the exchange. Council decided this year to up that to about to $1,500.
The exchange this year takes place, Jan. 26-29.
