Two men face impaired driving related charges after they were separately caught driving the wrong way down a one-way street in downtown Charlottetown early Sunday morning.
A 30-year-old Charlottetown man was charged with refusing to provide a breath sample to Charlottetown police on June 24 after officers noticed a vehicle travelling down Kent Street in the wrong direction.
The vehicle was pulled over and officers determined the driver was impaired.
Shorter after the occurrence, a 25-year-old man was charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle, as he was also driving in the wrong direction on Kent Street where he was intercepted by police.
Both of the accused will appear in provincial court at a later date.
Charlottetown Police Services encourage the public to report any instances of impaired driving by calling 911.
