A 37-year-old man of no fixed address will appear in provincial court Thursday to face a charge of armed robbery in connection with an incident at the Needs store at 421 University Ave. Sunday morning.
Christopher Wayne Nettleton appeared before a justice of the peace Tuesday and was remanded in custody until his appearance before Chief Provincial Court Judge John Douglas.
Police allege that Nettleton entered the store in question at 6:45 a.m. and demanded money from the clerk while brandishing a knife.
After obtaining just over $200 in cash he fled the area on foot.
Based on the description provided by the clerk police apprehended the accused sometime later and charged him.
