The thousands of people who are on the roads this weekend for the Cavendish Beach Music Festival and other summertime activities are getting an unexpected break at the pumps.
The Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission approved the following unscheduled price adjustments, effective today at 12:01 a.m.
Gasoline prices will decrease by 2.5 cents per litre, bringing the cost for regular unleaded gasoline at self-serve outlets to between 98.6 and 99.8 cents per litre.
There will be no change in furnace oil, stove oil, diesel or propane prices.
Significant decreases in the wholesale price of gasoline products observed since the commission’s last adjustment now allow for the unschooled price decrease announced today.
