Prince Edward Island drivers will be paying a bit more to fill up their vehicles but heating a home will cost less once the latest price adjustments from the Island Regulatory and Appeals Commission are implemented.

The Guardian has learned gas prices will increase by one cent per litre at midnight.

However, diesel prices will fall by 2.7 cents per litre.

Home heating oil will take the largest drop, falling 3.2 cents per litre.

The commission will make the new prices official after midnight, once the new prices are in effect.

Pump prices for regular gas will now range from 128.3 to 129.4.

Gasbuddy.com, a website that tracks gas prices across North America, says the average pump price in Canada is 129.8 cents per litre and rising.
